How it all started!

My name is Elizabeth and I am the owner and creator of Hawks Ridge Designs. This little business originally start out as HawksRidgeCandleCo. and we have transformed into not only making candles but have added handcrafted home decor! I have always loved candles and especially enjoyed them during the fall and winter months. Ever since I was younger, I have always enjoyed making my own crafts and that love grew bigger once I got older and started to live on my own. I started to create my own decor and found a make your own candle kit and fell in love! I opened my business in March 2020 right at the start of the Covid pandemic and was worried it would fade out fast since I opened up a week before the world shut down. To my surprise, we sold more candles in the first month than I ever thought we would. Over time, we added different items like reed diffusers and wax melts and custom orders along with selling in local boutiques. A year into our business, we have sold hundreds of candles and we keep thriving. In May 2021, I had my first baby and have been staying home with him and this little business has been able to help me stay home with him and I get to enjoy watching him grow! In September 2022, we added a little girl to our family and it has been a whirlwind of being a small business owner and a mom of 2 under 2.
